Alresford was voted Country Life's 'Favourite Market Town' in the south-east, so it is no surprise that the entire centre of the town becomes a huge market on Festival day.
Food & Drink
Over 50 producers with Hampshire Farmers' Market will be in Broad Street with local produce for you to taste, try and buy including free range beef, lamb, pork and chicken, rare breed meat, fresh fish, cheeses, wines, etc. In addition, there will be many others showcasing Alresford’s restaurants, butchers, tearooms, cafés, wine merchants, milkshake bar, local brewery and some traders from Alresford's own Thursday Market.
Arts & Crafts...and much more
Located in West Street the hugely popular Festival Market features stalls selling arts, crafts, jewellery and clothing, items for the house and garden and much else besides. Also in West Street and in Station Road, you'll find local charities and voluntary organisations on hand to provide an insight into Alresford's rich and eclectic community life.
Alresford shops, pubs, hotels and restaurants
Alresford boasts the traditional independent shops of a small market town, including butchers, fishmongers, bakers and delicatessens. It is also well-known for a range of stylish shops offering designer fashions, art and craft, gifts, watches and jewelry, as well as china and antiquarian books. There are several delightful pubs, cafés, tearooms, hotels and restaurants. Most of these businesses will be open throughout the day, so why not take this opportunity to wander around and see what's on offer, even if it's only a recce for a return visit to the town.
