The town of New Alresford is easily found on the A31, seven miles to the east of Winchester. Entry to the festival is free.

FESTIVAL PARK & RIDE
The festival is operating a FREE Return Train Ride Service on the famous Mid Hants Railway 'Watercress Line' from Ropley to Alresford and back for festival goers. The service will run all day from 8.45am to 5.30pm and use the scheduled steam trains and an additional heritage diesel shuttle inbetween. 'Free Festival Travel' tickets will be issued at Ropley car park and will be required for travel to Alresford and back (travel starting at Alresford will not be free). Ropley is a designated Festival Car Park and the charge of £3 per car will apply. The parking field is next to Ropley station. It is just a few minutes walk from Alresford station in to the heart of the festival. If you wish to travel the rest of the 'Watercress Line' on the day, Mid Hants Railway fares will apply.

Depending on your route, follow the directions below to find the nearest designated

Parking charges of £3 per car apply throughout.

Disabled parking for festival-goers is at the Alresford station car park in the centre of town, please follow the yellow AA road signs. Other parking may be unsuitable as it is in fields.

Please note that the festival is held in New Alresford, Hampshire and this is the correct name, otherwise you may end up in Alresford in Essex!

From London on the A3/southbound on the A31
Head for The Watercress Line's Ropley station and use the Festival Park & Ride
Follow the A3 out of London to Guildford, then take the A31 south which is signposted Farnham/Alton/Winchester. Ropley station is located off the A31. Turn right into Station Hill (before Shell garage) and proceed to festival car park.
If you are unable to use the Park and Ride facility, continue past Ropley station and go straight over the roundabout after the Shell garage, on to the A31 Alresford bypass. At the next roundabout take the B3047 in to Alresford; turn right into Jacklyns Lane, and right again into Grange Road. Stratton Bates playing field car park is clearly signposted. The festival is just a short walk in to town.
 
From M3 Motorway
Head for The Watercress Line's Ropley station and use the Festival Park & Ride
Exit at M3 Junction 9 (southbound) or Junction 10 (northbound) and follow signs to join A31 signposted New Alresford and Alton. C

From Petersfield
Head for The Watercress Line's Ropley station and use the Festival Park & Ride
Take the A272 signposted Winchester, turn right at Bramdean Garage and continue through Bramdean Common. At the roundabout turn right onto the A31, then turn left into Station Hill just after passing the Shell garage.
If you are unable to use the Park and Ride facility, turn left instead at the roundabout on to the A31 Alresford bypass. At the next roundabout take the B3047 into Alresford; turn right into Jacklyns Lane, and right again into Grange Road. Stratton Bates playing field car park is clearly signposted. The festival is just a short walk in to town.
 
From Basingstoke
Head for Hollingbury Field car park in Old Alresford
Follow the A339 (road to Alton) under the M3 motorway. After 100 yards turn right onto the B3046 and pass through Cliddesden and continue through the Candovers into Old Alresford. After passing the church (on your left), turn right into Abbotstone Lane. Follow signs for Hollingbury Field car park. The festival is just a short walk in to town.
 
BY TRAIN
South West Trains services direct from London Waterloo to Alton.
At Alton station you can board the famous 'Watercress Line' steam train to enjoy the 40-minute journey to Alresford. Mid Hants Railway Standard Travel Tickets cost £12 for adults, £6 for children (2-16 yrs) and £30 for a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children).

BY BUS
The festival is held on a Sunday and bus routes are altered due to the road closures in the town centre. On the day of the festival, Stagecoach buses in both directions will enter Alresford via The Avenue and Pound Hill and turn right into Jacksons Lane and then right again into Spring Gardens and right again into New Farm Road, then turning left back onto The Avenue and back down to the A31.  This means the bus is doing a clockwise loop each time.  Stagcoach expect this may add 5 minutes onto each journey, so advise possible delays, although hopefuly these will be kept to a minimum. Please check with Stagecoach for timetable and route details.
 

BY COACH

All coaches to park in the Festival Coach Park at Perins School, Alresford

We request that all coaches travel along the A31 and approach Alresford from the West. Leave the A31 dual carriageway and take the B3047 from the roundabout into Alresford, turn right into Jacklyns Lane and, almost immediately, turn right again into Perins School (lower car park) and park as directed by a festival marshal. The festival is just a short walk in to town. 

Parking charges of £20 per coach will apply.

NB - coaches will NOT be allowed to enter any of the other Festival Car Parks
