Leading retirement housebuilder, McCarthy and Stone, who currently has a Retirement Living Plus development under construction, on The Dean in New Alresford, has donated £2,500 to the nationally acclaimed Alresford Watercress Festival.
The donation to the festival was presented by McCarthy and Stone Marketing Executive, Nicki Beswarick and Sales Executive Rebecca Johnson, to Charles Barter from The Watercress Company, at one of the at one of the impressive local watercress farms in Hampshire.
Charles Barter from The Watercress Company, who accepted the cheque on behalf of the festival, commented: “The Festival is delighted to receive this kind donation from McCarthy and Stone. The Watercress Festival is growing year on year and it’s fantastic to have the support of local businesses to ensure we continue to put on a highly entertaining day out for families in New Alresford. The festival is all about bringing the local community together and celebrating the unique watercress crop.”

The Retirement Living Plus development at The Dean in New Alresford will compromise of 49 one and two bedroom luxury apartments, specially designed for those aged 70 and over.
