Barters Best – The Most Amazing Use of Watercress 

Judges Davina Tibbetts, Will Allam and Councillor Russell Gordon-Smith had their work cut out for them this year with lots of interesting entries, including a chopping board with watercress set in resin, watercress & olive oil scones, watercress pesto and mayonnaise. 

However, this winners were:

  • First place and this years winner Good Fermentation for Watercress Kimchi.
  • A close second of Watercress Infused Cheese from The Book & Bucket Company.
  • And in third place for their Watercress Mojo Sauce were the team at Steam Train BBQ.  

All 3 were new traders to the festival which was fantastic news.  The judges are looking forward to the 2026 entries already ! 


Raffle Prizes 

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the traders and local business the list is too long to mention, however, the top 3 prizes went to: 

  • Filipe, who wins £500 
  • Katie is going to be enjoying a lesson at Lainston House, Season Cookery School 
  • Laura is set for the summer with her new Yeti Roadie cooler
