Trader Applications
Applications for the 2027 Alresford Watercress Festival are now OPEN and close on 31 January 2027.
How we select traders
Applications are not first come, first served. Once applications close, we review them all together, considering:
- Quality and presentation of products
- Locally made, produced or sourced goods
- Use of watercress where appropriate
- What makes your business different
- The overall variety and balance of traders across the festival
- The number of similar products, food or services already applying
Previous attendance does not guarantee a place, and new traders are always welcome.
Please tell us what makes you stand out and include good photographs — these really do help us when reviewing applications.
What happens next?
- Applications close: 31 January 2027
- Applicants notified: By mid-February 2027
- Successful traders: Payment is due by return to secure your pitch
A note about payment - Our website uses a membership-based system, so the Direct Debit mandate may appear to show an annual payment.
Don't worry — it isn't! Your payment is for the 2027 Festival only.
After the festival, your payment details are deleted from the system and no automatic annual payment will be taken.
Pitch Selection
Please select your preferred pitch option from those below.
If you are successful, please check the pitch details carefully in your confirmation. We cannot always guarantee your first choice and may need to allocate you to a different area or pitch size to achieve the best overall layout for the festival.
A. Standard Trader - Regular Pitch
A 3m x 3m space. Gazebo & furniture to be provided by yourselves. No power. Selling goods or food to be taken home only.

B. Standard Trader - Midsize Pitch
A 4.5 x 3 m space. Gazebo & furniture to be provided by yourselves. No power. Selling goods to be taken home not for consumption at festival.

C. Standard Trader - Double Pitch
2 pitches selling different items ie family traders. No power. Provide own Gazebo & furniture

D. Food & Soft Drinks - Standard Pitch
Standard trader - a 3 x 3m space. Cover and furniture to be provided by yourselves. No power Selling food or drink to be consumed at the festival

E. Food & Soft Drinks - Standard inc Power
Standard trader - a 3 x 3m space. 2 pitches in Broad Street only Selling food or drink to be consumed at the festival

F. Food & Drink - Midsize Pitch
Limited - 1 pitch in Broad Street/1 in Station Road for Ice Cream. Food & Drink for consumption on the day. Slight odd size 4.5 m x 3 m

H. Alcoholic Drinks - Standard Pitch
Standard trader - a 3 x 3m space. Cover and furniture to be provided by yourselves. No power Selling alcohol to be consumed at the festival

A 3m x 3m space. Selling hand made items - artisan traders only Located in the Station Car Park Donation from each pitch to The Watercress Line
