On the third Sunday in May every year the festival opens at 10:00 on the dot (that is, of course, horses and children permitting!)
The cavalcade starts from The Globe public house and proceeds up Broad Street. Hook Eagles Morris, Mayflower Morris and children from Sun Hill Infants and Junior School will accompany a horse and cart which carries this year’s Watercress King and Queen who will distribute the first of the season’s watercress harvest to festival goers.
